Create your first image

You need a Go Bananas account, a workspace and a usable image-provider connection. Workspace storage does not include provider credit. See billing and storage.

1. Check your workspace

Open Go Bananas and sign in. Check the workspace shown in your account menu. If you do not have a workspace, follow the setup screen. If you already have one, finish its setup rather than creating another.

Open Dashboard → Workspace Settings to review the provider connection. If no provider is connected, follow Connect a provider. A Go Bananas API key for an MCP client is separate from a provider key.

2. Try one simple image

Open Prompt in the sidebar. Choose a model supported by your connected provider, one image and a square aspect ratio. For a first Gemini example, use Lite.

Choose a starter prompt such as Product photograph, Imaginary character or Quiet landscape, then change it to suit your idea. Choosing an example fills the prompt without generating an image.

Or enter:

A single matte blue cube on a plain white background, soft studio lighting, no text.

Select Generate image once and follow its progress. Timing varies with the provider and model. A submitted request is not a completed image.

3. Check the result

When Your image is ready appears, use Download image or Continue Editing. Back to prompt returns to your existing prompt so you can change it and create another image. You can also find the saved result in Gallery and edit or download it.

If generation fails, read the message before retrying. Keep your prompt and follow generation recovery. A successful connection check confirms access at that time; it does not guarantee that every model has available quota.

Using an assistant instead?

First connect your workspace provider, then configure your MCP client and follow the MCP quick start. Never paste provider keys into an assistant conversation.
